Rise and Shine

Rise and Shine is a coffee and donut company dedicated to bringing warmth and joy to people’s mornings. With freshly baked donuts, expertly brewed coffee, and take home blends, this company ensures that every customer starts their day on a bright and positive note.

When designing the visual identity, my goal was to reflect the sense of energy and optimism the brand tries to share through their products. This led to the use of vibrant colors, uplifting puns, laid back copy, and playful illustrations.

Logo Design

The logo embodies the brand’s uplifting nature, incorporating yellow sunbeams at the center, symbolizing sunlight and the positive experience of a great morning. These beams also extend above the letter “i,” which is shaped to resemble a person.

To further show the lively feeling of the brand, I designed the letters “H” and “N” to stretch up toward the sun beams, like arms waking up to a morning stretch, while the letter “R” dips down and curls up, symbolizing a rising motion.

Color and Typography

I chose a sunny yellow and sky blue as the brand’s primary colors, creating a sense of brightness and energy. Pink was added for playfulness, ensuring the visual identity feels fun and joyful.

For typography, I selected a bubble lettered font that mirrors the shape of rising dough, while making the brand feel approachable and friendly.
